Tuscaloosa River Market 

Every Saturday morning offers the chance to stroll down The Riverwalk to the Tuscaloosa Farmers Market for boutique shopping that supports local families, farmers, and business owners. The indoor/outdoor market features artisan crafts and goods, fresh meats and produce, handmade treats and one-of-a-kind finds from over 70 local partners.

First Friday Art Walk

Explore Downtown Tuscaloosa’s vibrant art galleries and local eateries at the First Friday Art Walk on February 6th. View regional exhibits, attend live art demonstrations, and sample special dishes from participating locations across downtown.

Northport Bunny Trail 

February 28 – April 5, 2026
Downtown Northport

Hop on down to Downtown Northport for an egg-citing display of easter spirit at the annual Bunny Trail. Starting February 28th, the streets will be lined with oversized, 5-foot easter eggs beautifully decorated by local businesses, organizations, and students. There will also be 4 unique events during the month of March to get you in the springtime spirit. 

Moundville Lithic Arts Festival 

March 6-7, 2026
Moundville Archeological Park

This traditional arts festival brings together flintknappers, nonprofit organizations, and educators who will share knowledge about the hunting, fishing, and lifeways of Southeastern peoples. The festival will feature live flintknapping demonstrations, education about the natural world, traditional and Native arts and tools, Native food vendors, a silent auction, and opportunities for visitors to play the traditional game of chunkey. The festival is free with paid park admission. 

Crimson Couch to 5K Run/Walk

March 7, 2026 | 9 a.m. – 11 a.m.
Walk of Champions, Tuscaloosa

The 16th Annual Crimson Cough to 5K is a fun, family-friendly race that begins and ends at The Walk of Champions with a scenic course around the U of A campus. The race begins at 9 a.m. and is open to runners and walkers of all ages. Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for children under 12.

2026 West Alabama Heart Walk 

March 7, 2026 | 8 a.m. – 11 a.m.
