From festivals that celebrate the town’s rich history to cultural exhibitions to concerts and more, Tuscaloosa is full of great events that will keep you coming back season after season. WAMA Fest (Tuscaloosa Heritage Festival)

The 5th annual Tuscaloosa Heritage Festival is a cultural celebration that features live music, dance, and various cuisines from different cultures. The 2022 theme is “Tuscaloosa Sister Cities” and includes cultural exhibitions from Schordorf, Germany; Sunyani-Techniman, Ghana; and Narashino, Japan.

This fun kid-friendly triathlon event promotes a healthy, active lifestyle for kids while supporting Secret Meals for Hungry Children. Race distances are beginner-friendly and children of all ages and abilities are encouraged to attend. Awards will be given to the top 3 boys and girls in each age group.

This annual event in nearby Northport is a two-day festival featuring more than 260 artists, live music, spoken word, activities for children, folk and contemporary art demonstrations, food trucks, local craft brews, and more. One of the most popular festivals in the area, it was named a top-ten state event by the Alabama Department of Tourism in 2018!
